In the first encounter, set up your defenses by using spells like Kabuff, Magic Barrier, and Brake Wind. Kabuff increases your party’s defenses, while Magic Barrier and Brake Wind protect against Pazuzu’s spells.
List of All Spells and Abilities
To further debuff Pazuzu, you can use Attack Attacker to reduce his Attack stats. This also deals damage, making it a strong offensive move while simultaneously weakening him.
If you have any downed party members, you can use Life Stone to revive them. It’s generally better to use items like this rather than spells, as you’ll want to conserve MP for combat.
Pazuzu uses many AoE attacks that can hit your entire party. A strong defensive option is to cast Magic Barrier, which protects everyone from spell damage. You can also use Brake Wind to reflect damage back at Pazuzu for additional chip damage.
All Buffing Spells and Abilities
Brownie Boost is also a great spell to use, as it not only increases your defenses but also restores HP and MP each turn. The Prince of Cannock can learn this spell naturally, and it’s an excellent long-term buff to keep active throughout the battle.
Best Spells and Abilities Tier List
In the later phases, Pazuzu becomes more aggressive and increases his damage output. If you already have all the abilities and spells mentioned above active, you should be able to withstand his attacks. If not, you can use alternatives such as Insulatle, or cast Soul Asylum at the cost of 70 MP.
Once you have room to go on the offensive, use demon-effective abilities such as Demon Demeanor, since Pazuzu is a demon and will take significant damage from it.
The Princess of Moonbrooke can also join the offense if she is equipped with the Duplic Hat, allowing her to cast spells twice per turn.
