How to Beat Helliphantes
Use Brownie Boost and Magic Barrier
Start by setting up your defenses with Magic Barrier and Brownie Boost. This should help you survive Helliphantes’ AoE attacks, which he uses frequently during combat.
Using Brownie Boost this early not only raises your defenses, but also helps you conserve both MP and HP.
Magic Barrier Effect and Level Learned
Use Spell Attacks Only
Helliphantes doesn’t take much a lot of damage from physical attacks, rendering attacks from weapons or physical abilities not very effective. Only spells will work, so rely on those when fighting it.

Helliphantes can also be put to sleep with Snooze. This should buy you time to go on the offensive since Helliphantes wouldn't be able to take any actions with this status effect.
