You can get the Thief's Key as you progress the story. After you return to Moonbrooke Castle with the Princess of Moonbrooke the Chancellor will give you the key, letting you open all red doors and chests.
How to Get the Thief's Key and Where to Use

The Magic Key can be obtained in the Mersea found in the Ocean floor, specifically after defeating Toadalitarian, the boss found in Mermaid's Sanctuary.
Once the cutscene ends, you'll be able to obtain the key. The Magic key lets you open all blue chests and doors.
How to Get the Magic Key and Where to Use

The Ultimate key, which can open green colored chests and doors, can be found in Rendarak Shrine. It is given to you by the Priest once you head inside and talk to him during your search for Hargon.

The Floodgate Key is acquired in the town of Burrowell from Roge Fastfiner. He can be found in the room inside Elmoo's jail cell, and if he doesn't appear there, you may need to progress the story first.

You can find the Misplaced Key after defeating the boss in the Den of Thieves. This is a key story item and is not missable, as long as you visit the Deserted Village.

Here are locations where you can use the Ultimate key to open available green chests and doors.

The Floodgate Key is used to open the floodgates northwest of Slewse. You can find this gate by going around the back of the Items Shop on the east side of the village.
Doing this will cause the river to overflow, letting you use a ship to access the Tower of the Moon.
The Misplaced Key is in Moonahan after the events in the Den of Thieves. You won’t need to worry about missing it since you'll need to go here to progress the story.
