The Winoceros are a boss encountered in the Dragon Quest 2 HD-2D Remake (DQ2). See how to beat this boss, the best equipment for the fight, and the boss' stats and moves here.
List of Contents
Since the Winoceros only use physical attacks, it's recommended to always have Kabuff active to reduce the damage that the party takes. While you can get by without it, it's safer to have the defence increase active at all times.
Kabuff Effect and Level Learned
An alternate strategy you can take is to try to Dazzle the enemies so that their attacks miss. However, this isn't guaranteed to take effect or make all attacks miss, so make sure you still apply Kabuff and heal up.
Dazzle Effect and Level Learned
Depending on the enemies' targeting and crit luck, they can easily take out one party member if they gang up on them. To be safe, you should aim to have party members either around or above 150 HP so that they don't get killed.
All Recovery Spells and Abilities
The best way to take down the bosses is by using a combination of Kasap to reduce their defences and Cattle Prod to hit their weakness. Since the Prince of Midenhall is the only one who can use Cattle Prod, be sure to protect and heal him so that he doesn't go down.
