Aurora Blade
Sword of Ruin |
| Shield | Power Shield |
| Headgear | Mad Cap |

Note: This is generally the best equipment for this character, but there are some scenarios, like versus bosses, where a different build will be more effective.
To recruit the Prince of Cannock to the party, you will need to talk to him at the inn in Leftwyne after exploring the initial towns and dungeons. You will need to go to Cannock and the Wellspring of the Hero first, followed by talking to the kings in Midenhall and Cannock before he will appear at the inn.
The Prince of Cannock shines as a flexible fighter who can cover both physical and magical roles. He won’t hit as hard as Midenhall, but his access to utility spells like Zoom, Safe Passage, and Kabuff gives him more room to adapt.
If you enjoy balancing swordplay with support magic, Cannock fits perfectly as a hybrid attacker who can step in wherever the team needs him most.
The prince has no official canon name, and is simply known as the Prince of Cannock in Dragon Quest 2 HD-2D Remake.

The promotional material for the game has designated the prince as Caradoc from in-game screenshots. This may allude to his possible default name in the game.
