☆ Trophy Guide: How to Get Platinum
★ Playing the first game? DQ1 Wiki here!

You will lose half your held gold and respawn at your last save when your party dies in Dragon Quest 2 HD-2D Remake (DQ2). See what happens when your party is wiped out, and what you can do to prevent it here.
List of Contents
After your party wipes out in battle, you will respawn where you last made a save. Autosaves don't count as a save point, and you will need to travel back to where you were going before the party got wiped out.
Upon loading back into the game, your held gold will be decreased by half its amount. To prevent this, make sure to leave most of your gold supply in one of the banks all over the world, as money stored here will not be affected.
Money Farming Guide: How to Earn Gold Fast
Any items used in the battle that wiped your party out will be considered used and will not return to your bag. When in a difficult battle, it's best to save your valuable items if you think you might be wiped out.
If all of your teammates are wiped out, the two characters, other than the Prince of Midenhall, will be killed. While they're dead, they're unable to participate in battle, and they will need to be resurrected by the Church or with spells.
Since resurrecting a party member with the church is very expensive, we recommend resurrecting the Prince of Cannock first so he can cast Kazing and save a little bit of money.

You can also earn the Wipeout Bronze Trophy once you've experienced being wiped out for the first time.
If you're aiming for the Platinum Trophy, it is recommended that you try getting wiped out intentionally to collect this trophy.
Keep up with the rising difficulty of your enemies by taking time to raise your party's level. Grinding some levels when exploring will help you stay strong and keep your party from being too underleveled as you progress through the game.
EXP Farm: How to Level Up Fast
While levelling up, players must also keep track of their equipment and make sure they aren't using outdated weapons and armour. Whenever you visit a new town, consider making it a habit to look through their weapons shop to see if there are any valuable upgrades you can make to your party's setup.
It's also best to keep your HP topped up as you explore. Keep an eye on your HP, as an easy battle can still wipe out your party if you aren't careful.
All Recovery Spells and Abilities
When you are low on HP and MP, and aren't sure if you can get out of the dungeon safely, make sure to have some Chimaera Wings or the spells Zoom and Evac to retreat to a safe town to recuperate before heading back out.
