| Bottomless Pot | This vessel could drain the world's oceans and still have room for more. |
| Celestial Skein | Thread that's as delicate as morning dew. Give this along with the Subtle Shuttle to Don Calico to get the Flowing Dress. |
| Echo Flute | When this esoteric instrument is played near a sigil, its distinctive sound will echo straight back. |
| Eye of Rubiss | A talisman imbued with Lady Rubiss's blessing. Gives you access to the Cave to Rendarak and the Hall of Hargon. |
| Faerie Flute | A flute fabricated by faeries in an age long gone. |
| Faerie Trumpet | An intriguing instrument, the playing of which will cause the palace of the faeries to become visible to the naked eye. |
| False Idol | An unsightly statuette held in high regard by Hargon's lackeys, who seem to love lugging them around all over the place. Opens the Cave to Rendarak and used to proceed through the Hall of Hargon. |
| Floodgate Key | A key by means of which the great water gate of Slewse might be opened and closed. |
| Forest's Favour | A protective talisman without which one will never find one's way through the forest in which mighty Yggdrasil stands. |
| Gwaelin's Gate Pass | A permit required for permission to pass through Gwaelin's Gate. |
| Letter from the Chief | A letter entitling the bearer to access the inner reaches of the Shrine of Flames. |
| Letter in a Bottle | A battered bottle inside which a letter has been stuffed. |
| Lorelei's Harp | An incredible instrument that enables those who strum its strings to venture beneath the waves abroad any sea-going vessel. |
| Loyalty Card | An incredible card that confers upon the bearer a deep discount on all purchases. |
| Lyre of Ire | An instrument through whose strings flow fantastical forces. |
| Magic Key | A key made available to our heroes by the Queen of Mermaids. Capable of unlocking any and all blue doors. |
| Mark of Cannock | Proof of the bearer's being a member of Cannockian monarchy. |
| Mark of Midenhall | Proof of the bearer's being a member of Midenhallian monarchy. |
| Mark of Moonbrooke | Proof of the bearer's being a member of Moonbrookian monarchy. |
| Misplaced Key | A key left behind by a larcenous young man from Moonahan. Used in the story to open the Thief's Hideout. |
| Moon Sigil | A purple stone engraved with intricate patterns. Can cause spells to go critical in battle. |
| Moonshard | Place it close to your ear to hear the soft whispering of the waves. Removes shoals blocking the Sea Cave entrance. |
| Orichalcum | A rare ore of unparalleled durability. It was long thought to be little more than a legend. |
| Pearl Earring | An earring said to once have belonged to a beautiful siren of the deep. |
| Priest's Missive | A letter entitling the bearer to an audience with the King of Dirkandor. |
| Princess's Pledge | A gift received by a great hero of old from his beloved. |
| Ra's Mirror | A prized piece of glass that shows a person's true self. Use it to reveal someone's true self in Moonahan. |
| Rainbow Drop | Required in order to traverse the waters on the other side of which lies the Dragonlord's Castle. |
| Soul Sigil | A green stone engraved with intricate patterns. Enables the use special spells and abilities in battle. |
| Sphere of Light | The rightful inheritance of the Dragonlord's great-grandson. It may be able to restore him to his fabulously potent full power. |
| Star Sigil | A yellow stone engraved with intricate patterns. Enables the replenishment of MP during battle. |
| Subtle Shuttle | An item of cloth-making equipment so specialised that only the most skilled of weavers can work with it. Give this along with the Celestial Skein to Don Calico to get the Flowing Dress. |
| Sun Sigil | A red stone engraved with intricate patterns. Makes critical hits possible even with abilities in battle. |
| Symbol of Scorn | One of the three keys of Mariella's most sacred sanctum. |
| Symbol of Slyness | One of the three keys of Mariella's most sacred sanctum. |
| Symbol of Spite | One of the three keys of Mariella's most sacred sanctum. |
| Thief's Key | A key bestowed upon our heroes by the Chancellor of Moonbrooke that can unlock any red door it's inserted into. |
| Ultimate Key | A key acquired from the priest who presides over the shrine in Rendarak. Able to open any door. |
| Water Sigil | A blue stone engraved with intricate patterns. Enhances the effects of items used in battle. |
| Windbraker | A curious cloak by means of which one might fly—well, float—for just a little while. Lets you cross the river between the Dragon's Horns. |
| World Map | A handy map that features the whole wide world. |
| Yggdrasil Leaf | A miraculous, life-filled leaf. |
Key Items are items that are important in the story, or help solve a puzzle. These might include significant artifacts like the Mark of Erdrick, or helpful bonuses like the Loyalty Card.
