Mushroom Way Walkthrough

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Following Mario's House.

Super Mario RPG - Goomba Mario
Proceed along the path and defeat the Goomba that's along the road. Toad will reward you with a Honey Syrup after defeating the Goomba.

Super Mario RPG - Upper Right
Proceed to the next area by exiting to the upper right path.

Super Mario RPG - Spinning Flowers
Ride on the rotating flower then press jump when Mario is facing on the right. Defeat the Paratroopa to save Toad again and receive a Flower Tab.

Super Mario RPG - Lower Right
Get off the high ground and proceed through the lower right area to head to the next zone. There is also a Mushroom on the way!

Super Mario RPG - Defeat the Hammer Bros
Take on Hammer Bros (Reco. Level: 2)
Follow the road until you encounter the Hammer Bros. Defeat them and obtain the Hammer. You can equip it from the menu.

Exit Mushroom Way then head to the Mushroom Kingdom.

Obtain Honey Syrup

Super Mario RPG - Goomba Mario
As shown in the image above, Toad is being cornered by a Goomba. Saving him by defeating it will award Mario with Honey Syrup. This item refreshes your Flower Points, allowing you to cast more Special Moves if you ever run out of FP!

Defeat the Hammer Bros.

Super Mario RPG - Defeat the Hammer Bros
The Hammer Bros. will block the next area, making it impossible to pass without defeating them first. When you beat them, you'll receive two items: a Flower Jar to help increase max FP and a Hammer as your first equippable weapon.
