Guess Which Hand the Yellow Ball is In

Super Mario RPG Remake - Guess Which Hand Holds the Ball

To play the minigame, Mario must guess the position of Knife Guy's yellow ball among all of the red balls. It can be either on his left or right hand.

To choose, Mario must move to one side and interact with Knife Guy's hand.

Follow the Yellow Ball with Your Eyes

Early in the first stages of the minigame, the Yellow Ball's movement is slow, so it is recommended to follow it first with your eyes.

As you complete more of the stages, however, the ball's movement will be faster. You will have to try another strategy to avoid eye fatigue!

Focus Above His Head in Later Stages

Super Mario RPG Remake - Focus Above His Head

The game can be tricky if you are tracking the yellow ball directly with your eyes as it moves left and right.

To make it easier, you can try and focus above Knife Guy's head instead and check the ball's motion to know if it went to his right or left hand.

Focus on One Hand in Later Stages

Super Mario RPG Remake - Focus on One Hand

Another technique to help track the yellow ball's movement is by keeping your eyes on only one hand. This should help you decide whether the ball has landed on it or the other!

Unlimited Attempts and Try Recording

Super Mario RPG Remake - Unlimited Attempts

If the minigame becomes too difficult, know that you can always retry the minigame at any time (it does not have any entrance fee).

There is no time limit when Knife Guy asks which hand the yellow ball is in, so you can use a video recorder (can be recorded on a phone) and then playing back the footage to make decision-making easier!
