Resident Evil Requiem - What to Buy First

Know what to spend coins on first in the Parlor and Supply Box in Resident Evil Requiem (RE9). Read on to learn which items you should prioritize buying with your Antique Coins and Credits!

What to Buy First in Parlor

Get the Hip Pouch Behind the Case

Hip Pouch 1

Prioritize getting the hip pouch first that is locked inside the case within the Parlor, as this will increase Grace's inventory slot by two. There are 4 Hip Pouches total to find.

Spend 3 Antique Coins to open the machine inside the Parlor room, and coincidentally there are 3 Antique Coins in the Parlor already (you just need to spend a few bullets on the roulette wheel). There are 22 Antique Coins total, which should be more than enough to get the 4 upgrades.

What to Buy First from Supply Box

Supply Box Priority List

Buy the Case Upgrade (8x13) for Leon

Case Upgrade (8x13)

First things first, best to get the Case Upgrade (8x13) to upgrade Leon's inventory size. It's a one-time purchase that will allow you to carry more items as you explore East Raccoon City. This is the only inventory upgrade for Leon in the game that costs 4,000 Credits.

Get the 990-TAC Shotgun

Shotgun - 990-TAC

Get the 990-TAC is worth replacing the MSBG 500 for. It deals good damage, has moderate stats and the highest Rate of Fire among all shotguns available. Its higher rate of fire allows for faster recovery in between shots and lets you pump out damage much faster.

It can be purchased for 7000 Credits from Supply Boxes.

Best Shotgun

Get the Silencer 9 Pistol

Pistol - Silencer 9

Similarly, it's worth getting the Silencer 9 to replace the Alligator Snapper. Its good damage, high precision, and high rate of fire make it formidable and ammo-efficient, enabling melee finisher follow-ups with ease.

The Silencer 9 can be bought for 5500 credits in Supply Boxes.

Best Handgun

Body Armor Level 2

Body Armor

Buy the two levels of Body Armor to mitigate enemy damage. There are many enemies on Leon's campaign that can throw dangerous objects, and he has the most boss fights too, so it is better to prepare your defense against them.

The first level can be bought for 8000 Credits, while the next level can be bought for 15000 Credits.

Upgrades for Pistol, Shotgun, and Rifle

Gun Upgrade

We also recommend buying upgrades for your pistol, shotgun, and rifle, as they will be Leon's main source of damage, and making them strong will make taking down enemies much easier.
