How to Beat Mr. X
First Encounter at Raccoon Police Department
Mr. X will first appear inside the Raccoon Police Department. It is not possible to kill him at this point in the story, so focus on escaping the RPD.
Make sure not to use your gun to conserve ammo for the next encounter.
Final Encounter Near the Basketball Court
You will fight Mr. X besides the Basketball Court after passing through Gun Shop Kendo. This time, his heart will be exposed, allowing you to damage it and kill him in the process. Use Requiem and other heavy-hitting weapons to finish the fight faster.
You will unlock the I Remember That, Too trophy if this is your first time defeating Mr. X.

Aim at the Heart
Mr. X's only weakness is his heart, and that will be out in the open at the start of the second encounter. Mr. X momentarily stops before executing his attacks, and you can use that to get a good shot to the heart!
Don't Hesitate to Use Requiem
Mr. X, a being known as one of the Super Tyrants in the RE universe, is a tough nut to crack even when hit at his weakness. Don't hesitate to use Requiem on his heart as it will take a while to beat him if you use the other guns.
You can use Rifles or Shotguns as alternatives as they can also deal a lot of damage.
Parry the Charge Attack and Punches
You can parry Mr. X's charge attacks and wide punches during the fight. Do that if he gets too close or you're cornered to avoid the attack.
Note that those are the only attacks you can parry. You will get hit if you try it on the thrown cars or his leap attack.
It's Best to Upgrade the Hatchet to Max Level
Try to upgrade the Hatchet to the max level possible to reduce the times you will sharpen it during the boss fight. It is also a good investment as you can use it on the upcoming enemies on the next area.

Don't Miss the Hatchet Prompts
After taking enough damage on his heart, Mr. X will kneel on the ground and allow Leon to hit his heart with the Hatchet. This inflicts a lot of damage against Mr. X, so don't miss the opportunity to do so!
It should only take 2-3 attacks on his heart to kill him.
