This Save Point is the last saving location in the game. You can find it in the B4 Staff Room of the ARK Facility.

You can use the Typewriters (Grace) and Computers (Leon) scattered throughout the map to save the game manually. You can usually find them inside safe rooms or areas that cannot be entered by enemies.

You are required to gather Ink Ribbons to save manually in Standard Classic and Insanity difficulties. You should be able to get enough for each area, but try to manage them properly to ensure you don't have to go along way back when you die.
Difficulty Setting Differences and How to Change

The game will autosave once you get to specific parts of the game, like getting close to a boss fight or a puzzle area. If you forget to save manually through a Typewriter, this should help you go back close to where you last went into if you die.
The game usually loads the last autosave when you die, as they are the latest save most of the time.
Death Penalty: What Happens When You Die?
There are fewer Autosave locations in Standard Classic and Insanity difficulties. You may not be able return close to where you last died because of this mechanic.
