This is a beginner's guide for Resident Evil Requiem. Read on for tips and tricks on how to survive in RE9.

Beginner's Guide to Resident Evil Requiem

This guide features initial tips based on long-time Resident Evil game experience. It will be updated with more RE9-specific tips as we progress.

Conserve Ammo With Precise Shots

Aiming

With Resident Evil games, be wary that you don't replenish weapon ammo frequently.. You can't buy ammo at the Merchant, so you must conserve ammo. To help save ammo, we recommend aiming for enemies' heads and weak spots then finish them off using the Hatchet and melee attacks.

Have Weapons to Cover Every Range

Additionally, it's best to have weapons for encounters at long, medium, and close-quarters. The game has a variety of enemy encounters so you should likewise have a variety of weapons to choose from depending on the situation. Don't just stick to one type.

Always Check the Merchant's Shop

Whenever you come across the Merchant, we recommend always checking out his entire stock. The Merchant often updates the items he sells in every area and sometimes offers limited-time deals, such as free attachments when purchasing a new gun.

There's No Inventory Minigame

In Resident Evil 9, there's no inventory management “mini-game” where you can have as many items as you wish as long as you can fit them all in the grid of your case, Tetris-style. Despite this, it's still best to prioritize upgrading your case, as this will give you more room to store weapons, key items that could lead to better rewards, and heals.
