True to its survival horror-genre roots, Resident Evil: Requiem will have you managing the scarce resources that you come across and utilizing them to the best of your ability.
As such, every resource, such as healing items, ammunition, and infected blood, should be used as efficiently as possible in order to tackle the oncoming challenges ahead.

During combat, it is advisable to hit specific weak spots, like heads or knees, in order to stagger opponents. This opens up an opportunity to do a follow-up action, whether it's a melee attack or injecting an enemy with a Hemolytic Injector.

The game's focus on limited resources means that exploration is as important as combat. The map marks every item in a room that you have entered but not picked up, giving you the chance to collect them.
The map will show areas that can be accessed after picking up the necessary key item, so check the map if you're not sure where to go.

Grace and Leon's gameplay approaches differ in key ways. Grace places a strong emphasis on stealth and survival, while Leon's sections are characterized by high-intensity action.
Players should adjust their strategy when switching between two characters and play each character accordingly.

Another good tip for conserving ammo is to wait for your reticle to re-center after aiming. This will result in a more powerful shot that is more likely to stagger enemies.
The time it takes to re-center largely depends on how many stabilizers you have consumed. Each stabilizer reduces the time it takes to re-center, and you can consume up to four stabilizers.
Grace's melee attacks will have her push the enemy in front of her in the opposite direction, which is quite weak compared to Leon's melee attack, but does have its uses.
Enemies that are staggered can take a while before recovering, so you can use this opportunity to shove them in the direction that you want them to go.

New to the franchise, the Hemolytic Injector is a powerful resource available to Grace that allows her to instantly defeat normal zombies. It can be used on unsuspecting or staggered enemies, making it quite flexible.
It also prevents zombies from mutating into Blister Heads, and can be used on both dead and roaming zombies.

You can still use the Hemolytic Injector on active Blister Heads to instantly defeat them. Use it while the blister head is staggered to dispatch it immediately, as it is more agile and dangerous than the average zombie.

Though its main purpose is to increase your maximum health, consuming a Steroid will also restore your health to full capacity. Keep this in mind when you have a Steroid and consider saving it if you're low on healing items.
