Get to the Surface

| 1 |  After finishing the Care Center Courtyard section with Leon, you will switch back to Grace, who is carrying Emily. There's only one path, so just follow the corridors of the water treatment plant. |
| 2 |  Eventually, you will see stairs leading up, where you will see a platform and controls with a green light on them. However, since you cannot interact with them while carrying Grace, go inside the large open doorway across the controls. |
| 3 |  A cutscene will play where Grace will see the Shadow Ghost (Girl) lurking around the area. She will leave Emily in the Storage Bay (where you are currently at) to let her rest and plans to stop the monster once and for all. |
| 4 |  Before going out of the Storage Bay, take the opportunity to save using the typewriter and get the items at the top of the table, such as a Med Injector, five 12.7x55mm ammo, and the Roof Hatch Manual. Note: You can only save a limited number of times depending on how many ink ribbons you have in Standard Classic and Insanity. You can save an unlimited amount of times in Standard Modern or Casual. |
Open the Hatch on the Shadow Ghost

| 1 |  Go outside the Storage Bay for a cutscene. Grace will lock the room tight to keep Emily safe. |
| 2 |  Go towards the Roof Hatch Controls to open the roof. Unfortunately, the roof will open just a tiny bit, so you will need to restart 3 power distribution units below, where the Shadow Ghost (Girl) is lurking. |
Restart the 3 Power Distribution Units

| 1 |  Head down to the lower floor to restore the power through the Power Distribution Units. Shadow Ghost will go in your direction immediately once you go down, but you can distract it away by throwing an empty glass bottle. |
| 2 |  It's best to restart the first power distribution unit in the Storage Area, as it is the easiest. Simply go in the direction of Shadow Ghost where she first spawned in after distracting her out of the way. Shadow Ghost will block the way to the lever once you get close, but you can immobilize her by turning on the light nearby. |
| 3 | You can go to the Chemical Treatment for the next power distribution unit. Its lever is heavy, and it will take time for Grace to activate it. Throw a Molotov at Shadow Ghost to stun her momentarily and give you time to activate the lever. There should be a free Molotov cocktail on the cart close to the lever. |
| 4 |  The last power distribution unit is located at the Control Room, but it's missing a lever. You can find the Crank Lever in the Filing Room, which is accessible in the current room you're in. |
| 5 |  Shadow Ghost will throw you away from the power distribution unit, so exit the room first and lure her away to one of the lit rooms. Once she takes the bait, return to the Control Room and place the lever to restore the power. |
Open the Roof Hatch

| 1 |  Head back using the elevator and try to open the roof hatch. Shadow Ghost will appear once again, but you can stop her in her tracks by opening the light pointing at the switch to the roof hatch. Open the roof hatch and either shoot to kill her or let the sunlight do its job. Try not to waste the Requiem's bullet and use a different handgun. |
How to Beat Shadow Ghost (The Girl)
Return to Emily

| 1 |  Return back to the Storage Bay where Emily is. Watch the cutscene of Emily getting mutated into a monster. Leon will arrive in time to save Grace, where he will need to shoot Emily. A cutscene will play out afterwards, showing a devastated Grace and the appearance of what seems to be a returning character, which will finish this portion of the story. |
