| Weapon Class | Description |
|---|---|
| Special Weapons | Special Weapons can be unlocked by completing conditions in specific game modes. These are specialized weapons with absurd features like a Rocket Launcher, or weapons that are not classified as guns or melee weapons. |
| Handguns | Handguns are good weapons for close to mid-range shots, it offers quickfiring capabilities with low to moderate damage depending on the model. |
| Shotguns | Shotguns are good for dealing wide range damage and controlling hordes. This is good to have on hand when you need a weapon that deals a good amount of damage, or if you need to manage a large group of enemies. |
| SMGs | Submachine guns are the best for quick-firing weapons for close range combat since long distances will hurt their stability and accuracy. |
| Rifles | Rifles are one of the most powerful weapons in the game in the right conditions. With its high damage and penetration its a great weapon to handle elite enemies and bosses. The only down side is that is has less flexibility in how to use it and is mostly effective for long distances. |
| Revolvers | Revolvers deal immense damage to enemies, they also have a low rate of fire and slow reload speed. This weapon is best saved for dealing decisive damage to powerful enemies like bosses. |
| Melee Weapons | Melee Weapons are hand-held weapons that you pick up throughout the game. Other than Leon's hatchet, most melee weapons have a specific durability before they break. Having Melee weapons on hand is useful, especially when you get stuck in close-range combat with enemies. |
