Resident Evil Requiem RE9 How to Get Past the Kids
This is a guide on how to get past the kids during the Orphanage section of Resident Evil Requiem (RE9). Learn how to get past the kids, including tips on where to hide in the game.

How to Get Past the Kids

During the game's Orphanage section, you will be playing as a young Grace clone while being pursued by evil android kids that will kill you when caught.

There are a total of four encounters of the kids during the section:

Jump to an Encounter!
Bedroom Main Hall
Director's Office Underground Chapel

Bedroom

Hide Under Your Bed

When you first encounter the kids in the nursery, run back to your bedroom (the point where you started) and hide under your bed.

Wait for the children to arrive, get interrupted as they search for you, and leave the room before crawling out.

Main Hall

Main Hall

When you reach the main hall, you will hear a thumping sound. Immediately hide under the table in front of the door. Wait for the children to drop down, open the door, and leave before crawling out.

As you try to get to the Director's Office in the hallway afterward, the kids will spot you. Run back to the main hall and hide under the table again. There’s no indicator showing when they disappear this time, so it’s best to wait 1-2 minutes before crawling out.

Hide Behind White Boxes

After getting the Hatch Key in the Director's Office, hide and crouch behind the white boxes near the wooden drawer. Wait for the kids to leave the room.

Underground Chapel

Kids Underground Chapel

Once you have the Fire Poker, run back to the altar while avoiding the kids. The kid in the center will grab you but let you go. Go through the right side of the altar then interact with the ladder inside the wall to escape them.
