Blister Borne is known for its orange cysts around its body. Popping all those cysts will kill Blister Borne, so make sure to target them with your gun. Note that destroying any of the cyst for the first time will summon waves of zombies, making it extra challenging.
If possible, try to aim for the cyst on its back first before the once on the front as it will be slighlty harder to aim for it at the end.

Blister Borne can mutate zombies and turn them into Blister Heads during the boss fight. Try to eliminate them first as they move fast and hit hard. You can easily kill them with the Hatchet after staggering them with your gun or throwable axes.

Lure the zombies on the second floor once they start spawning in. It will be easier to kill them there because of the narrow staircase and hallway, and you can use an Explosive Cannister there.
Zombies with axes will spawn in the Chapel as well. You can swing or throw their axes once they die and finish another zombie with it. It can also stagger both Blister Borne and Blister Heads, allowing you to land a free hit on them.
There are 2 Explosive Cannisters in the Chapel that you can shoot or throw onto the zombies and Blister Borne. It should help clear out zombies fast and stun Blister Borne for a free shot.
Blister Borne's basic swings can be parried by Leon's Hatchet, but it will throw Leon off-balance, so there will be no room for a quick counterattack. Consider parrying if you get cornered by Blister Borned to avoid getting hit.
However, watch out for its charge attack as it can't be parried. You can move to the side once it charges to evade the attack..
