☆ Resident Evil: The Whole Story Explained

You should kill Chunk while playing as Grace in Resident Evil Requiem (RE9). Learn more about how to kill Chunk as Grace, as well as what you get for killing Chunk, here!

Although Chunk is an optional boss that you encounter as Grace while exploring the Care Center, we highly recommend killing Chunk, as he will drop rewards that you would not otherwise be able to get.

It is important to note that even if you kill Chunk as Grace, you will still need to kill Chunk as Leon. This is because there are actually two Chunks present in the Care Center. It is hinted in a file you find in the Attic that the two Chunks are brothers.

Killing Chunk as Grace not only makes it easier to explore the East Wing, but also rewards you with the Eye Spy Charm, which will help increase your survivability.

An easy way to take Chunk down would be by shooting him with Requiem. While this may take multiple shots (three in Standard difficulty), you can shoot Chunk from a distance, keeping you safe from his attacks. You can also get Chunk stuck on doorways to make it easier to take him down.

Alternatively, you can sneak attack Chunk using the Hemolytic Injector to deal massive amounts of damage to him. This will take multiple Hemolytic Injectors (three in Standard difficulty), so make sure you are stocked up before attempting to kill Chunk.
If you do not have a lot of 12.7x55mm Ammo or Hemolytic Injectors, you can choose to use a combination of both to take Chunk down as long as you perform a total of three attacks on him. Take note that this is for Standard difficulty, so you might need to use less or more Ammo and Injectors if you are playing on Casual or Insanity, respectively.

You can also use your regular handguns to slowly whittle down Chunk's HP. We recommend using the S&S M232, as it is Grace's best handgun. Similar to the Requiem tactic, you can get Chunk stuck on doorways to make shooting him down easier.
