What are Soul Cores?
Grants Active and Passive Bonuses
Soul Cores are enemy-dropped items that can provide both active and passive bonuses. Each Soul Core has a fixed effect that increases with its level, and it has the flexibility to be assigned to either Yin or Yang positions.
Assigning a Soul Core to Yang grants you the ability to summon an enemy's soul temporarily, making it fight the enemies around you. Meanwhile, assigning it to Yin grants a wide array of buffs that will depend on the Soul Core used.
How to Equip Soul Cores
Pray at a Shrine
Praying at a shrine allows you to manage and equip your available Soul Cores. Navigate to the Manage Soul Cores menu to equip your desired Soul Core and decide whether to put it in a Yin or Yang position.
Defeat Crucible Wraiths to Equip Summoning Seals
To use the Yang position's summoning seal, you must first defeat its Crucible Wraith counterpart. Scan your map and look for the pictured icon above to find Crucible Wraiths.
