![]() Talk to Himiko at the far end of the arena, and take the path beside her over to a shrine.
![]() From the shrine, keep walking forward until you get to a large set of stone stairs. There will be enemies on the way up. From the top of the stairs, turn left and take the steps down to another shrine.
![]() To the left of the shrine, you can find a tree root in the far corner that you can take to get to another corridor. Note that there is a guard beside it.
![]() Follow the corridor up a short set of stairs into a room full of blood. Across the room is another set of stairs you can climb to get up to a platform going across the room.
![]() Once outside the room, go left down another large root and onto an arena where a Spirit Stone Box is on the ground. Picking it up will summon two stone soldiers. You can use this as a power source for the circular moving platforms.
![]() If you go down the stairs to a lower arena, and then down again, you'll enter a hall with two firing mechanisms at the far end. You need to avoid getting hit by these mechanisms by dodging in the alcoves to the left when they attack.
![]() Grab the Spirit Stone Box on the ground behind them and place this on the empty power outlet nearby to stop the mechanisms.
![]() Move on to the next room and the one after that, where there's an incline to the right you can follow to the upper floor.
![]() There will be another set of firing mechanisms to dodge, and a Spirit Stone Box you can pick up behind them. You can take this Spirit Stone Box and head back down without using it yet.
![]() Back to the lower level, behind the incline is a locked door. You can use the Spirit Stone Box on the power outlet beside it to open the door.
![]() Through the door and to the left is a Spirit Stone Box and a power outlet waiting to be reunited, so that you can use the moving platform nearby. Past that is a set of stairs going down.
![]() At the bottom of the stairs are two giant yokai in the middle of a long, open pathway. You can run past them and activate the firing mechanisms using the nearby Spirit Stone Box and power outlet.
| 13 |
![]() Inside the doorway past the firing mechanisms, you can go right around the combined tree root and collapsed stone structure and climb up behind it to get another Spirit Stone Box. Right below it is the platform with the outlet you can use it for. |
The door by the outlet will open, which leads to a pathway winding downwards to another Spirit Stone Box and outlet. This activates the moving platform. If you ride the platform, it leads up to another room with another door you can open with the Spirit Stone Box. This leads back to the shrine again.
![]() From the room, ride the platform down again and go down the stairs nearby. This leads to the lowest level which is full of blood on the ground and various yokai.
![]() You will need to get the Spirit Stone Box that can be found on the right side of the area, guarded by a yokai. The box is on the ground and can be easily missed if you're not careful. There is also a hot spring to the left of the stairs, which you should use as part of the Distant Memories achievement!
![]() On the other end of the area is a raised stage where an outlet is located. Activate it and ride the platform in the center of the stage. This platform goes down to a hallway with a shrine at the end.
![]() Open the door beside the shrine to challenge Hiruko. Hiruko wields a magic sword, so watch out for his elemental attacks. When his health is halved, he will enter a second phase with a new form, using more powerful attacks. ▶︎ How to Beat Hiruko
After beating Hiruko, a cutscene will play. You can talk to Himiko two times to complete this mission and proceed to the next one.
