Unlocked After Obtaining the Guiding Mirror in The Hamamatsu Incident
After obtaining the Guiding Mirror and leaving the Eternal Rift for the first time during The Hamamatsu Incident, A Fierce Flame will automatically be added to your mission list.

| 1 |  Head into the Eternal Rift and talk to the Fox-masked Blacksmith. The prompt 'A Myth is in progress. Continue the tale?' will pop up. Selecting 'Yes' will give the mission dialogue, while selecting 'No' will open the Forging menu. |
| 2 |  The Fox-masked Blacksmith will ask you to search Lake Sanaru in Maisaka for clues. Fast travel to the southernmost shrine in Lake Sanaru and follow the road south to the islands connected by bridges. Blocking the first bridge is a Crucible Spike you'll have to clear. |
| 3 |  Cross the first bridge where a Scampuss is resting. If you pet it, it will roll right off the side of the ledge and lead you to a lower path you can follow to cross beneath the second bridge with a Spirit Vein. |
| 4 | You can continue following the Scampuss around the island until you end up on a northern ledge. From there, you can jump back to the main island and head left to get to the top. |
| 5 |  There is a shrine hall at the highest level of the rocky island. In here, you can obtain Kagutsuchi's Magatama from the shrine. |
| 6 | Enter the Eternal Rift and talk to the Fox-masked Blacksmith again. After giving the magatama, the mission will be complete. |
