Enenra is a boss from Nioh 3 encountered during the main mission Those Left Behind. See how to beat Enenra, as well as the weaknesses, drops, and location in this guide.
List of Contents
To beat Enenra, dodge toward him and position yourself at his rear to punish him from behind as he recovers.
Follow these strategies to win against the boss:
Circle Enenra and position yourself behind him when you counterattack. You can easily avoid his swipes and kicks as long as you stay at his back.
Look out for his jump attack where he stomps with both feet, as well as when he conjures fire around him, as these attacks can still hit you from behind.
Be careful when attempting to punish Enenra because he can chain his swipes and kicks together and mix them up to throw you off. These can be dangerous if you commit too early, so make sure he finishes his combo before attacking.
After you drain Enenra's Ki or land a grapple, he will engulf himself in a tornado and perform a spinning attack. Pull back immediately to avoid taking damage.
Enenra's tornado red attack is easy to counter as it moves quite slow. Style shift into the tornado or interrupt it with a Guardian Spirit Skill to inflict Burst Break and open him up for attacks.
Do not forget to use your summoning seals, especially as you can now have two of them equipped by this stage in the game. They can help deal extra damage, open opportunities to attack, or even save you from dying.
If you're struggling at the recommended level, take some time to gain a few extra levels and farm better gear before your next attempt.
How to Level Up Fast: Amrita Farming Guide
Keep your Living Artifact ready to secure the victory when Enenra is low. You're invulnerable while in this state but you must still dodge or block because sustaining damage shortens its duration.
You also have unlimited Ki while Living Artifact is active. Use this to spam your most potent Martial Arts.
Summon an acolyte from nearby benevolent graves to serve as a distraction and help deal chip damage. You'll need Ochoko Cups to summon acolytes, which you can obtain by defeating revenants from bloody graves.
Use talismans and items such as Power Talismans and Power Pills to boost your attack. Note that they do not stack and only refresh the duration of the attack buff. Fire Stop Talismans help mitigate elemental damage.
You can also use the talismans from Soul Cores listed below to give you an advantage.
| Talisman / Soul Core | Effect |
|---|---|
| Scampuss Summoning Seal (Scampuss Soul Core) |
Shreds enemy Ki quickly |
| Life Leech Talisman (Mermaid Soul Core) |
Helps keep your health topped up |
| Preservation Talisman (Mujina Soul Core) |
Saves you from a fatal hit |
| Barrier Talisman (Otoroshi Soul Core) |
Boosts Ki regeneration and dispels Yokai Realms |
The Awakening skill is highly recommended to speed up talisman usage, especially against bosses where you can easily get punished.
It is also easy to fit in most builds as it only costs 3 Points.

Enenra is primarily weak against the Saturated status effect, which is inflicted by dealing enough Water damage. Enemies affected by Saturated take increased damage to health and Ki.
Enenra is encountered at Shijo, just before the shrine of Honnoji Temple - Main Gate, during the mission Those Left Behind.

Enenra can be fought earlier in the myth Yokai Horde Picture Scroll during the Heian era. Enenra appears as the final enemy after fighting off waves of Yokai.
