Nioh 3 - How to Beat Bloodedge Demon

Bloodedge Demon is a boss fight in Nioh 3. See the location of the Bloodedge Demon, how to beat it, as well as the weaknesses and drops in this guide.

Bloodedge Demon Location

Found by Defeating Revenants

How to Locate Bloodedge Demon

Defeat revenants and follow its malice.

Arrows point to its location.

The Bloodedge Demon spawns at different locations. Defeating revenants (enemies from bloody graves) reveals its general direction, marked by red arrows on the map.

Note that the Bloodedge Demon grows stronger with each revenant you defeat, but it will also drop better loot.

How to Beat Bloodedge Demon

Bloodedge Demon Boss Fight Tips

Chip Away with Ranged Attacks

Use your Ninja tools such as bombs, kunais, and shurikens to whittle its health from afar. You can recharge your tools by attacking and doing perfect dodges.

Always Be Ready to Dodge

Dodge the Bloodedge Demon's attacks rather than blocking. Staying mobile helps you avoid both its strikes and elemental AoE attacks.

Block only when necessary, as its attacks can deal chip damage and drain your Ki quickly.

Use Hit and Run Tactics

Employ hit and run tactics by focusing on evasion and attacking only during its recovery. Use your weapon's gap-closer or simply run in and attack a few times then disengage.

Burst Break Into Its Red Attack

Counter the Bloodedge Demon's red attack by Burst Breaking into it. While performing its red attack, the Bloodedge Demon remains stationary, giving you time to heal up or refresh buffs if needed.

Be Aggressive When It's Out of Ki

When the Bloodedge Demon runs out of Ki, it's your turn to be aggressive as it will flinch during your attacks.

If you're on Samurai style, use Flux by switching stances during a Ki Pulse to recover Ki and extend your combo.

Use Stop Talismans

Use Stop Talismans

The Bloodedge Demon can use different elements throughout the fight. Use elemental stop talismans to decrease the damage taken from elemental attacks.

Gain Levels and New Gear

The Bloodedge Demon is a particularly tough encounter, especially if you've been farming revenants. Consider stepping away to gain some levels and gear before returning.

Bloodedge Demon Drops and Rewards

Bloodedge Demon Soul Core

When the Bloodedge Demon Soul Core is set in the Yang position, you can summon it on the field and it will unleash a deadly combo. Its element is based on the element of your Guardian Spirit.

If the soul core is set in the Yin position, you'll have access to the Carnage Talisman, which boosts your melee attack power at the cost of defense.

Armor and Weapons

Equipment and Weapons

The Bloodedge Demon will also drop random armor and weapons. Defeating more revenants from bloody graves makes it stronger, but improves the loot it drops.
