To beat the Bloodedge Demon, the most effective strategy is to use hit-and-run tactics. Focus on landing a few quick strikes during recovery windows and retreat immediately. Follow this step-by-step strategy to win the fight:
Employ hit and run tactics by focusing on evasion and attacking only during its recovery. Use your weapon's gap-closer or simply run in and attack a few times then disengage.
Use your Ninja tools such as bombs, kunais, and shurikens to whittle its health from afar. You can recharge your tools by attacking and doing perfect dodges.
Dodge the Bloodedge Demon's attacks rather than blocking. Staying mobile helps you avoid both its strikes and elemental AoE attacks.
Block only when necessary, as its attacks can deal chip damage and drain your Ki quickly.
Counter the Bloodedge Demon's red attack by Burst Breaking into it. While performing its red attack, the Bloodedge Demon remains stationary, giving you time to heal up or refresh buffs if needed.
When the Bloodedge Demon runs out of Ki, it's your turn to be aggressive as it will flinch during your attacks.
If you're on Samurai style, use Flux by switching stances during a Ki Pulse to recover Ki and extend your combo.

The Bloodedge Demon can use different elements throughout the fight. Use elemental stop talismans to decrease the damage taken from elemental attacks.
The Bloodedge Demon is a particularly tough encounter, especially if you've been farming revenants. Consider stepping away to gain some levels and gear before returning.

The Bloodedge Demon has no elemental weaknesses but can wield multiple elements itself. It's also resistant to most status effects.
When the Bloodedge Demon Soul Core is set in the Yang position, you can summon it on the field and it will unleash a deadly combo. Its element is based on the element of your Guardian Spirit.
If the soul core is set in the Yin position, you'll have access to the Carnage Talisman, which boosts your melee attack power at the cost of defense.

The Bloodedge Demon will also drop random armor and weapons. Defeating more revenants from bloody graves makes it stronger, but improves the loot it drops.
