To beat Ibaraki Doji, use Ninja style for mobility and strike her from behind during her long recovery times. Follow these tips easily win the fight:
Ninja style is recommended for this encounter as it offers greater survivability against Ibaraki Doji's swift attacks and deceptively long reach thanks to her lightning magic.
Equip the Ninja skills Yokai Banisher and Evil-Dispelling Evade to purify Yokai Realms that hinder your Ki regeneration.
Use Ninjutsu such as Uncanny Bubble (Ibaraki Doji is weak versus Saturated) and Shrapnel Bombs to deal damage from afar while repositioning out of tight corners.
Ibaraki has lengthy recovery times after her attacks, especially her lightning magic. Dodge toward her rear and get in some quick backstabs.
Be careful when Ibaraki Doji slams her giant hand on the ground as it sends out a delayed ring of lightning. Jump over it to avoid unnecessary damage.
When you deplete her Ki, start going on the offensive. Your attacks will make her flinch and interrupt her if she attempts to strike back.
This is your best damage window as Ibaraki Doji doesn't have a lot of red attacks that you can Burst Break.
Ibaraki Doji ramps up her lightning magic while in the Dark Realm and becomes more aggressive. Focus on staying alive by dodging, and purifying Yokai Realms if you can.
Throughout the fight, Ibaraki Doji will imbue her sword with lightning, granting her extended reach with projectiles. Make sure to have enough Ki to dodge or block these imbued attacks.
If you're still struggling with Ibaraki Doji, don't hesitate to farm some levels and equip better gear before trying again.
How to Level Up Fast: Amrita Farming Guide
Summon an acolyte from nearby benevolent graves to serve as a distraction and help deal chip damage. You'll need Ochoko Cups to summon acolytes, which you can obtain by defeating revenants from bloody graves.
Use talismans and items such as Power Talismans and Power Pills to boost your attack. Note that they do not stack and only refresh the duration of the attack buff.
