Nioh 3 To The Beginning 1
Exit the dojo, and retrace your steps in the beginning of the game, starting with the courtyard to help Yagyu Munenori defeat three waves of yokai. You can break the wall yourself afterwards.
2 Past the broken wall, head up and over the roof to the shrine at the end of the alley. From there, you can follow the road, crouch under roots, and keep going until you get to the courtyard where Hattori Hanzo is fighting yokai.

Nioh 3 To The Beginning 3
Defeat the three waves of yokai with Hattori Hanzo and Yagyu Munenori's help. You will also have to defeat the yokai Gozuki, who has a large, spiked club you need to watch out for!
4 After a cutscene, use the Spirit Vein to the right side of the gates to get to the other side, where a shrine is waiting. You can follow the road north, down the stairs and to the broken well.

Nioh 3 To The Beginning 5
Down the well is the same corridor that leads to the boss fight against Tokugawa Kunimatsu. This time, you have to defeat him to continue.
6 After defeating Tokugawa Kunimatsu, a cutscene will play and the mission will be complete.
