There are seven Stats players can level up in Nioh 3, each of which greatly influences the protagonist’s combat effectiveness and playstyle. Check out all the Stats that can be leveled up, and the best stats to prioritize here!

The Stats you increase when leveling up should align with your preferred weapons types and playstyle. This ensures you maximize your chosen weapon’s damage and have your style work much better against your foes. In the level-up and equipment menus, you can view which weapon types are associated with each Stat.

Check out the base Stat table above, or open the equipment menu to see which Reference Stats your equipped gear uses to increase damage. These Stats should be your highest priority to deal much more DPS with your attacks.

Armor and Accessories have unique Effects that only activate with minimum Stat requirements, such as an armor-piece that needs 6 Strength minimum for the activation of its bonuses like increased Ki recovery and more.
Check the Activation section of the gear and meet its minimum Stat requirements to use it effectively.

Once you reach the Blacksmith, you can Remodel weapons and armor that have been upgraded to +1, allowing you to change their original Stat scaling or requirements. This lets you fine-tune your favorite equipment to better match your build.
However, remodeling is quite expensive, especially early on. It is best saved for later, so instead focus on investing in putting points in Stats that match your gear during the early stages of the game.
While the Constitution stat provides the largest boost to your total Life, increasing any Stat as your overall character level rises will also grant a good amount of additional HP.
Respeccing is easy in Nioh 3, so experimentation is highly encouraged. Do not worry if your current stat distribution does not suit how you want your character to fight, as you can always respec and test what works best for you.
