Tatsumaro the Dung Lover can first be encountered in the Heian era. He can be found standing on the roof of a submerged house in the flooded area of Rajomon, in Hachijo. Talk to him to start the Purtrid Paradise side quest, which you must complete to find him again in the Eternal Rift.

| 1 | ![]() After completing Putrid Paradise, head to the Blacksmith in the Eternal Rift. Then, drop down the ladder in the corner, to the right of the Fox-eyed Blacksmith. |

| 3 | ![]() Continue forward and drop down the edge all the way to the bottom. There is no fall damage in this area, so don't worry about dying. |

Once Putrid Paradise is complete, Tatsumaro can be found in the Eternal Rift. Drop down to him, and you can give him Dung Balls and Noble Dung Balls to work your way towards the Dung Ball Roller hidden trophy, three Smithing Text rewards, and the Blackened Key.

To unlock the Dung Ball Roller trophy, give Tatsumaro 30 Dung Balls. Rarer Noble Dung Balls also count, and each one is worth two points toward the total of 30.
Dung Balls are a random drop from most standard enemies, while Noble Dung Balls can drop from higher-level enemies.
Along the way, he will reward you with various Smithing Texts at certain milestones. Once you reach 30 balls total, you will get the hidden trophy along with the Blackened Key.
