There are a total of 17 weapon types in Nioh 3. Read on for a list of all Samurai, Ninja, and Ranged weapon types including info on the stat scaling of each one.

7 Samurai Weapons

When switching to the Samurai fighting style, you'll have 7 weapon types available. During the tutorial, the starting 4 options will be the Sword, Dual Swords, Spear, and Odachi.

A regular katana with medium reach in melee. Easy to use due to its familiar moveset compared to other Samurai weapons.

A pair of shorter katanas that make use of quick attacks. It has a unique charged strong attack that has you lunge forward multiple times.

A polearm with a very long reach in melee. Its range allows you to get easy opening hits, especially against regular-sized enemies.
OdachiOdachi StaminaStamina StrengthStrength MagicMagic
A very large sword that does fast, sweeping strikes in melee. Uses a lot of Ki when attacking due to its weight.

Heavy, two-handed weapon that does slow, sweeping arcs when swung. Uses a lot of Ki when attacking due to its weight.

Unique weapon that has 3 different forms depending on your stance (Chakram in Low Stance, Glaive in Mid Stance, and Scythe in High Stance).

7 Ninja Weapons

When switching to the the Ninja fighting style, you'll be able to choose between 7 different ninja weapons. A few minutes into the tutorial, you'll be made to choose between 4 starting ninja weapons - the Ninja Sword, Dual Ninja Swords, Kusarigama, or Hatchets.

A katana that performs attacks in quick succession. It can easily chain light and heavy attacks together.

An even faster swinging pair of dual katanas. Its charged strong attack performs multiple hits in quick succession.

A pair of short, blunt sticks that has an almost similar range to fist-type weapons. Deals a lot of Ki damage on hit.

A sickle chain weapon that does fast, sweeping strikes in a wide arc. It has a similar charged strong attack to the Dual Ninja Swords.

A pair of small hatchets that you can throw when doing a charged heavy attack.

Versatile weapon with a long reach. Deals blunt damage making it good at breaking the enemy's Ki with multi-hit attacks.

Fist weapons that are great at chunking HP due its multi-hit attacks.

3 Ranged Weapons

There are 3 different Ranged weapons available in game. During the opening segments, you'll have access to the Bow first.

Long range weapon that fires arrows. Headshots against regular human enemies will usually result in an insta-kill.

Ranged weapon that does a ton of projectile damage when fired but needs to do a slow reload after each shot.
