Objective 1: The Ceremony

# Walkthrough
1 Head to the dojo and speak with Yagyu Munenori.
2
Nioh 3 Ceremony
Select a weapon for Samurai Style combat. You can pick up and try out any of the weapons as much as you want, and once you've chosen a weapon you can talk to Yagyu Munenori to continue the story
3 Complete the Samurai Style Tutorial by following the prompts and defeating Kunimatsu.

Objective 2: Escape From Edo Castle

Nioh 3 Escape From Edo Castle 1
Exit the dojo and head to the doors right across the small courtyard, where you can regroup with Yagyu Munenori who is fighting some yokai.
2 Defeat the three waves of enemies that will appear. During this fight, tutorials for Enemy Ki and Grappling can come up.

Nioh 3 Escape From Edo Castle 2
Speak with Yagyu Munenori to open the path ahead. Follow Tokugawa Kunimatsu up a collapsed roof and down to a shrine.

Nioh 3 Escape From Edo Castle 3
Pray at the shrine and head right, where you'll need to crouch to get through a gap in the wall. Keep going until you get to a larger yard where Hattori Hanzo is fighting yokai. Help him defeat the enemies.

Nioh 3 Escape From Edo Castle 4
Select a weapon for Ninja Style combat. You can pick up and try out any of the weapons as much as you want, and once you've chosen a weapon you can talk to Hattori Hanzo to continue the story.
5 Complete the Ninja Style Tutorial by defeating the three waves of enemies that appear in the courtyard.

Nioh 3 Escape From Edo Castle 5
Go up the ladder and talk to Hattori Hanzo again. He will lend you Nekomata and you can go down the next ladder to continue your escape.

Nioh 3 Escape From Edo Castle 6
Follow the street until you get to the partly broken well, which serves as the entrance to an underground passage.
8 Jump into the well and head down the passage until you get to a pair of double doors. Open the doors to start the story's cutscene!

Objective 3: Follow Kusanagi's Guidance

# Walkthrough

Nioh 3 Kusanagi
Follow Kusanagi out of the cave. You will be given a choice between Ninja Style or Samurai Style for Kusanagi.
2 After making your choice, interact with Kusanagi again to leave the area. This will complete the mission and begin the cutscene for the next part of the story!

The Fall of Edo Castle Rewards

No Rewards

There are no rewards for completing the The Fall of Edo Castle main mission. However, the mission serves as tutorial for the main gameplay, and allow you to collect items and EXP from defeating enemies along the way. You will also unlock other maps and features once the mission is completed.

How to Unlock The Fall of Edo Castle

Automatically Unlocked in the Beginning

The Fall of Edo Castle is automatically unlocked as the first mission in the Ceremony story chapter after completing character creation.
