How to Unlock The Way of the Ninja: Novice
Unlock Eternal Rift and talk to Saito Fuku
Cleanse the Crucible in The Hamamatsu Incident
To unlock The Way of Onmyo: Novice, progress the main mission The Hamamatsu Incident until you get the Guiding Mirror and access Eternal Rift.
Once inside the Eternal Rift, talk to Saito Fuku on the second floor of the northern building where a shrine is located, to unlock this quest.

The Way of Onmyo: Novice can be accessed and played through the Battle Scroll option when praying at a shrine.
