Equip different skills that suit your own unique playstyle. Try to master each skill and hone your craft, or learn new things to continually add to your repertoire.

There are 14 types of different weapons in Nioh 3, giving players a wide variety of options to choose from and pick their favorite to master and bring with them on their adventure.
Once you find what you like, be sure to level up the appropriate Stats to maximize its effectiveness and grow stronger with your chosen playstyle.

As the players progress through the game, they will eventually find better gear over and over again. Equip stronger weapons and armor that can be found to replace your old and weaker gear.
This also offers players an opportunity to experiment with different sets and combinations from a wide selection of equipment that fit numerous playstyles.

Try out both Ninja and Samurai classes, build them both with different skills, armor, and weapons, to help you find the best that complements your playstyle well.
Remember to change your Guardian Spirits too to try out different Living Artifacts that synergize with either Ninja or Samurai.

Nioh 3 offers players the freedom to experiment and try out every single combination or set of whatever kind of build they can think of, because everything can be respecced, such as levels, skills, points, blessings, and many more! In the level up menu on Shrines, press R3 on controller or R on keyboard to respec your character.

The exploration aspect of the game is extremely important, as it is the best way that players can level up and find different Martial Arts, skills, items, and collectibles that can improve blessings.

Head to your grave or death spot to retrieve your Amrita back if possible, so your hard-earned Amrita points will not go to waste. Dying twice in a row without recovering your grave will lose them forever, wasting what could have been used for leveling up.

Prioritize leveling up at Shrines as soon as possible, spending your Amrita or Soul Cores before you may risk losing it. It is fine to invest immediately in any useful stat, especially since you can respec easily if you want to switch up your build later.

・Master the Timing Queue ・Time When to Block, Dodge, and Strike ・Learn Your Weapon's Speed and Range ・Manage Your Ki Usage ・Use Ranged Attacks to Weaken Bosses |

Bring out your best in combat as you try to master the timing between Burst Breaks, Dodges, Guards, etc., to defeat enemies and bosses more easily.
Mastery in combat also gives you the utmost experience in this game, as most of them consist of swordfights and one-on-one battles.

When in combat in either style, avoid becoming overly aggressive and focus on proper defense, whether you are blocking as a Samurai or dodging fast as a Ninja. Attacking too frequently will leave you open to damage, deplete your Ki, and reduce your opportunities to punish enemies and bosses after a successful block or dodge.

The Ninja's ability to use Mist dodges after attacking encourages an aggressive playstyle to dodge right after attacking to strike even more. Time your Mist dodges with your attacks carefully to skyrocket your Ninja's DPS!

With 14 types of Weapons available, learn how to use each one and figure out the attack timings against your enemies. For example, you will want to be much more up close and quick using Dual Katanas, compared to being further away and swinging more carefully when using an Odachi.

Learning to manage your Ki efficiently is key for effective combat, whether you are in Samurai or Ninja mode. Although each style uses Ki differently, get a feel for how much your attacks, blocks, and dodges consume to avoid leaving yourself vulnerable if your Ki runs out.

With every Samurai attack chain, the Ki Pulse mechanic is vital for maintaining smooth and effective combat. When in Samurai style, make sure to time your Ki Pulses rather than spamming attacks to recover Ki faster and defeat Yokai more efficiently.

Ranged attacks are a great way to chip down bosses, and damage both their HP and Ki before going in in either fighting style to do heavier damage with your melee attacks. Do not let your Ninjitsu Tools go to waste!
