![]() The Battle of Saigagake recommends you reach level 50 before proceeding with the quest.
![]() When you're ready, fast travel to the Saigagake Junction shrine just north of Hamamatsu Castle and talk to Ii Naotora by the gate. Afterwards, open the gate and head on through.
| # | Walkthrough |
|---|---|
Following the fenced pathway from the gate will lead you to a large, broken, wooden bridge and a shrine. Turn left, and find the stone stairs leading downwards.
![]() The stone steps will lead to a smaller, still broken bridge you can jump across to get to the other side.
![]() Make your way north of the forest over to an intact bridge that you can cross normally. Past this bridge is a ladder that leads to the wooden foundations of the castle.
![]() From the top of the ladder, head over to the edge of the stone and into a wide area below where a Magatsu Warrior is located. Across this area is a slanted wooden beam you can climb.
![]() Turn left and towards the wall, where you can go up some wooden stairs and onto the upper level of beams.
![]() Tread carefully on the following wooden paths! Jump over the gaps and beware of enemy ninja as you make your way around the foundation.
![]() At the end of the wooden path should be the top of a wooden sentry post where a shrine is located.
![]() Follow the path to the left of the shrine to get back to solid ground. Immediately to the right, marked by torches, is a cave-like path.
![]() Through the cave, walk on the wooden beam and go left, where another cave path is waiting. Note that there's a Magatsu Warrior in this cave.
After you get out of the cave, there will be a couple of stone ledges and a ladder to your left that you can use to climb up.
![]() The road leads to a shrine to the right. A paved pathway to the shrine's left side leads to a courtyard with two enemy soldiers, one riding a horse. If you use the whistle gesture on the yokai door to the far right of the courtyard, you'll unlock a hot spring.
![]() From the courtyard, go around the wooden fences and past several benevolent graves and onto the gates that lead to the next scene.
![]() Defeat the transformed Takeda Shingen! Takeda Shingen will have four arms and a much larger body, so be careful of his powerful hits. ▶︎ How to Beat Takeda Shingen in Yokai Form
After defeating Takeda Shingen, a scene will play out. Then, you can talk to Ii Naotora to continue. Talking to Ii Naotora a second time will end this mission and start the next one, which will automatically transport you to the Heian period.
