Objective 1: Sacred Mountain Defiled

| 1 |  Open the gates ahead and follow the path down the mountain. There will be a shrine just a short distance ahead. |
| 2 |  From the shrine, you can keep heading down the mountain. A few paces ahead will be a ledge to the left and a Spirit Vein that leads to a ladder you can climb down for a hot spring. |
| 3 |  Following the original path will lead to another fork in the road. Go left, down to an area full of giant trees and several yokai. Keep to the left and defeat the yokai firing ice projectiles. |
| 4 |  From the yokai's original position on the tree growth, you can jump up and follow the path amongst the roots and ledges until you get to a wooden entryway. |
| 5 |  Go down the stone steps until you find Kajiwara Kagetoki, whom you can talk to. |
| 6 |  After talking to Kajiwara Kagetoki, head down the stairs and past the two wooden structures where a winged yokai will drop down. The path makes a left turn where a shrine is located. |
| 7 |  Beside the shrine is a path that splits into three. The rightmost and central paths lead to a dead end, so take the leftmost path to continue. |
| 8 | From the locked house on the path is a sharp left turn that eventually leads to a gate guarded by a yokai and stone steps to the right side. The gate leads back to the last shrine. |
| 9 |  Go up the steps and across the bridge to the left. There will be another door guarded by a yokai. Through the door is a courtyard with the much larger Mikoshi Nyudo in the way. |
| 10 |  Across the courtyard are stone steps leading up to a closed gate surrounded by benevolent graves and a shrine on the far side*. By the shrine is an old house, and you can open the door to lead to the Spirit Vein from earlier. |
| 11 |  Opening the gate surrounded by benevolent graves will bring you to the boss fight against the Great Tengu! The Great Tengu has various swooping and diving attacks you must watch out for. ▶︎ How to Beat the Great Tengu |
| 12 | After defeating the Great Tengu, you will meet Minamoto no Yoshitsune. Speak with him and select 'Yes' to proceed and complete the mission. |
