Talk to the Onmyo Mage by the Road in Hachijo

Nioh 3 The Box

Talk to the cowering Onmyo mage near the center of Hachijo, by the road, to unlock The Box's Guardian. This also unlocks the Battle Scroll-exclusive myth, The Mystery of Rajomon.

Complete The Oni of Rajomon

If the Onmyo mage is not in the area, you may need to complete The Oni of Rajomon objective in the Heian Befouled mission first, to purify the seal in Hachijo.

Head to the western end of Hachijo, at the large house on the map. You can fast travel to Nishiichi and follow the road to a Spirit Vein that will take you right up to the house.

Nioh 3 The Box
Behind the house is the Dojikiri Yasutsuna blade, which is used in the Memories in the Blade myth, if you haven't collected it yet. Inside the house is a Bloody Grave you can challenge to battle.

Defeat the Demon Slayer summoned from the Bloody Grave. This Demon Slayer also counts as a Master that will give you the Handbook: Archer's Impact upon being defeated.

Interact with the box left behind in the house to continue the mission.

Nioh 3 The Box
The Onmyo mage will appear and turn into the boss Ninja Yoki along with a One-eyed Oni yokai. Defeat all yokai that appear.
