How to Unlock Disaster at Lake Hamana

Enter Lake Hamana and Witness Daidara Bocchi's Rampage

Nioh 3 Disaster at Lake Hamana Unlock
When you first enter the Lake Hamana area, you'll immediately be met with Daidara Bocchi rampaging in the distance. This will automatically unlock the mission.

# Walkthrough
1 From your perch, head down to follow the road going west. Use the rocks as cover from Daidara Bocchi's intermittent attacks. If you cannot find cover, stay on the move!

You'll find a shrine by the road just past some stone stairs, where Daidara Bocchi does not attack.

Nioh 3 Disaster at Lake Hamana 3
Past the shrine, heading south, is a bridge leading to a separated island. Cross this bridge and follow the road past two more connecting bridges. This leads to the large castle at the west end of Lake Hamana.

Nioh 3 Disaster at Lake Hamana 4
Inside the castle, turn right and look for the cave entrance on the far side of the area. This leads to a locked door and a stone staircase to the left. Go up this staircase and two more sets of stairs to get to a shrine.

From the shrine, go through the open gate and follow the path left, and through the house. You will also pass by a hot spring behind a closed door in the house!

On the other side of the house is a Yamainu blocking the way. Defeat this yokai and go up the stairs. To the right is an empty altar and to the left is a new path going down.

Go down the left path and into a Crucible Spike at the end. Defeat the three waves of yokai and break the Crucible Spike!

Nioh 3 Disaster at Lake Hamana 8
When you break the Crucible Spike, a set of stairs will be revealed along with a glowing, golden stone.

Nioh 3 Disaster at Lake Hamana 9
Carry the stone back to the empty altar. This will finally calm Daidara Bocchi and complete the mission.
