Militia Footmen offer a decent balance on offense and defense. It is recommended to also invest in making Helmets and Plate Armor to make this unit your tank.

Have Enough Men and Weapons
- Click on the Army Button (V)
- Click on the + Sign
- Select the Militia Footment
As long as you have at least 5 Families and enough weapons, in this case 5 Sidearms and 5 Small Shields, you can recruit your male villagers as Militia Footmen.
