The Shadow War Bow is a great weapon if you are aiming to beat the game as fast as possible, but the game offers more powerful War Bows if you are looking to make the best build.

How to Get Shadow War Bow

Go to the nearest Tier 3 or 4 merchant, and exchange the necessary resources to get the Shadow War Bow.

How to Use Shadow War Bow

Shock Arrow

Horizon Zero Dawn - Shock Arrow Ridge-Wood

This low damage ammo is good for temporarily stunning smaller enemies. Because of the low damage that it deals, we do not recommend using this for direct combat unless the machine has Shock canisters or Shock vulnerabilty like Stalkers.

Freeze Arrow

Horizon Zero Dawn - Freeze Arrow Ridge-Wood

This arrow also deals low damage, but is useful for freezing machines with Freeze cannisters or Freeze vulnerability like Scorchers and Daemonic Machines.

Corruption Arrow

This ammo deals no damage but can corrupt machines and make them attack other machines. This can temporarily turn the tide of battle in your favor when successfully used.
