How to Get the Synergy Materia | |

FF7 Remake | Complete Battle Intel Report 09 (Defeat monsters of 3 unique varieties) and buy from Chadley for 100 gil. |

You can buy this materia from Chadley after you complete one of his Battle Intel Reports where you defeat 3 unique varieties of enemies. Click the link below for a list of all Battle Intel Reports and how to complete them.

Synergy materia only activates when it is connected to Fire, Ice, Lightning, Wind, or Poison materia. You also need to be sure that the materia slots containing the Synergy materia and the attack-type materia are linked together.
Once you have the Synergy and Magic materias linked together correctly, you can now activate it during combat.
To activate Synergy have your active character (or the one you are currently controlling) use an attack command like Triple Slash or another attack-type spell like Fire. This will make the non-active character with the Synergy materia automatically follow your attack with a spell from the Magic materia linked to the Synergy materia.
Regardless of the level of Magic materia linked to it, Synergy will only cast the first tier spell of that Magic materia. This means only Fire, Blizzard, Thunder, Aero, and Bio are available for follow-up attack made by Synergy.
Other than the requirements mentioned above, the non-active character with the Synergy materia should also have sufficient amount of ATB bars and MP to cast a follow-up spell.
