Avalanche of the original game is all but defeated. One leader, Elfe was the daughter of the former Turks leader, Veld. In the end, Shinra ordered Tseng to execute them, but with the aid of Rufus, their deaths were faked, and they escaped to live in safety somewhere else. Fuhito, the other leader, mutated himself with a special materia and was ultimately killed. He left behind the plans to bomb the sector 01 reactor, which were then fulfilled in the OG game by Barrett and co.
In Before Crisis there was a lot more of avalanche. The original Avalanche was a hardcore terrorist group. Dr Fuhito, one of the members, was a scientist who stole data from the SOLIDER program and used it to mutate humans into monsters called "Ravens". He even captured two SOLIDER's and mutated them (Essai and Sebastian) -- they were originally two friends of Zack Fair. Their gravesite is shown briefly in Crisis Core. As for the OG game, technically the entire party joined Avalanche ;)

No you don't.... You don't enter disc 2 until after Temple of the Ancients. You know, after The Big Plot Event that probably everyone knows at this point.

Avalanche wasn't confirmed to have ties to Wutai. That was an example of Shinra's propaganda tactics. Which, obviously worked on some, apparently...
I do hope it will come out one PS4 as well as PS5. I bought a PS4 just for the FF7 Remake part 1. I have a felling that there is going to be more than just 2 parts due to the depth that it took in part 1. In the first disk there was the golden saucer; getting vincent, cait sith, and yuffie; Junon harbor; and the car and plane.

Just play again FFVII original. Thianis a remake not a remastered. Think about that.

I think people really WANT this game to be amazing. But the story is 100% juvenile compared to the original story. They traded a sure thing, for a new thing. Wether you like it or not is a matter of opinion but this isnt FF7, and the new story, chapters and overal impact doesn't hold a candle to the original.
