| Post-September 2025 Units Worth Grading Up Once in Event/Super/Extreme Unit Assembly Pool (So Far) | |

[M0449] Unicorn Gundam (Hyper Mega Launcher)

[M0470] Narratiive Gundam B2-Packs

All new UR units released after September 2025 are already at Grade 2 if they were obtained from their dedicated banner. Their Grade Up is free.
Sometime in the future, however, they could be added to the pool of their respective limited unit assembly banners (Event/Super/Extreme). These units will not be at Grade 2 when obtained, and players will have to spend resources to grade them up.
It is recommended to have at least 100 UR Gear Pieces of any given mobile suit type so that if players obtain these newer mobile suits, they can be upgraded to Grade 2 immediately.
The Unicorn Gundam (Hyper Mega Launcher), Narrative Gundam B2-Packs, and other future units would be worth grading up if players get them after they have been added to the permanent pools of their respective unit assembly banners.

When a player does not have any of the newer units, a good alternative kind of UR unit to focus on grading up would be units whose type of gear is easy to farm from events.
Almost all in-game events in Gundam UC Engage give out UR Gear for specific Mobile Suit types. However, most of the time, it involves clearing different missions that may be hard to accomplish for players.
Meanwhile, Generic Gears such as UR Generic Gears are relatively easy to farm for players that are part of a strong Clan. Clan Battle gives players up to 100 UR, SR, and R rarity Generic Gear and repeats every month (unlike certain events that come more irregularly).
This means any players who are consistently active members of a strong clan can regularly earn Generic UR Gear and focus on making their Generic mobile suits stronger first.
Notable examples of older Generic units good Grade Up are the Magna Martell (Awaken), and the Generic Sinanju, which can still be of use in PvE and even early PvP. The Gundam F91 Full Power (or Gundam F91 MEPE) is especially worth grading up, being a reliable MS in both PvE and PvP.

[M0266] Zeta Gundam (Hyper Mega Launcher)
|
[M0476] Zeta Gundam (IF Claw and IF Blaster)
|
There are also UR mobile suits that may be older and weaker, but their EX skills can be spammed fast enough to deal high amounts of damage. This makes them useful at least in PvE because of the skill damage boosts they get from being Graded Up.
MSs like the Gottrlatan, Zeta Gundam (Hyper Mega Launcher), and the Zeta Gundam (IF Claw and IF Blaster) all have buffs that restore their EX skill gauges at least halfway or increase their EX gauge recovery rates.

Players who want to extend the lifespan of their older UR units are recommended to watch out for units with special status effects or abilities like Bullseye, Assault, Perfect Guard, Absolute Evade, and buffs that increase their EX gauge recovery, attack power, and survivability.
Though some of these units will not be serious contenders in late-game Arena, they can give beginner or intermediate players more units to work with while clearing Story Mode and other PvE modes, as well as their earliest Arena battles.
Others, meanwhile, like The-O (Purple) are still relevant in the game's PvP meta, even though it has already been some time since its dodge tank abilities dominated the Arena. It will also still prove to be a formidable unit in PvE, along with the Zeta (Waverider), Quin Mantha, and Magna Martell (Awaken).
