Paptimus Scirocco Review

Paptimus Scirocco is a rather niche pilot who doesn't really excel outside his signature MS.

This is because his skills either don't work well in other mobile suits, are hard to activate, or don't amount to much for it to be substantial. For example, it has a big stacking ranged sense skill granted to Titans-Affiliated units that max out at 300%, but they'll need to guard in order to get stacks. Out of all the Titans-Affiliated mobile suits in the game, only the Hazel Custom can guard at a good level, but it's not an MS that's worth giving ranged sense to.

He grants 12% guard rate to Purple-type Armored units, making him pretty good on the FATB since the FATB restores HP on guarding. Other Purple-type Armored units can benefit from this too, but it won't really do much to improve their survivability.

Gryps War and Rival Unit mobile suits get 16% EX damage, making him somewhat viable in EX-reliant units with one of these tags, such as the Gaplant. Finally, this MS also has a 69% ranged sense buff each time EX is activated for 10 seconds, but this doesn't really amount to much unless the MS in question spams its EX skill at a fast rate.

Paptimus is rather lackluster as a substitute pilot, but becomes invaluable in his signature MS.

Paptimus' guard rate buffs bring the duo's total over 100%, his EX damage buffs greatly increase damage output, and so do his potent ranged sense buffs, which it will have no trouble activating. Paptimus Scirocco is a must-have for his signature MS, and no other pilot comes close.
