Jona Basta Review

Jona is another niche pilot who grants decent buffs to a wide range of mobile suits, good amounts to a small pool of units, and extremely strong buffs for only his signature MS.

His most notable buffs are his two stacking 12% ranged sense buffs on dealing damage that each max out at 120% or 10 stacks. These buffs are granted to Phoenix Hunt and Psycho-Frame Type unit category mobile suits. There are a few notable units that can benefit from both. Namely, these are the Phenex and the Sinanju Stein. However, the Sinanju Stein's best weapon is its 2nd weapon, a melee beam saber that won't benefit from ranged sense. Protagonist Units, Purple type, and Generic category mobile suits also get 38% ranged sense each. While these are small on their own, they're nice bonuses on top of the stacking buffs that you should be targeting for this pilot.

Jona also grants Newtype Killers two conditional 41% accuracy buffs when attacking Jammed and Psycho-Frame Type units. However, out of all the Newtype Killers, only the Unicorn Gundam Perfectibility is capable of Jamming enemy units, and there aren't really any problematic Psycho-Frame Type units that are hard to take down without accuracy.

Overall, Jona is an okay substitute pilot for Phoenix Hunt and Psycho-Frame Type units, a good substitute pilot for a select few, and an excellent pilot for his signature MS.
