Fire Emblem: Three Houses (FE3H)

What Does Charm Do?

This is a guide to Charm, one of the stats of Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Here we will explain how this stat works, how it benefits your units, and how to raise the Charm stat.

What Does Charm Do?

A Stat that strengthens Battalions

FE3H White Heron Cup
Charm is a stat that is directly related to the performance of your unit's battalions. The higher the charm stat of your unit, the stronger your gambits will be. The Charm stat affects the Hit rate, MT, and Avoid of your Battalions. This means that the more charming your unit is, the more affinity that unit will have with their Authority skill.

The Charm stat is somewhat similar to the authority skill, as they are both involved in making that unit's battalion stronger. For more information about Authority, see the link below.

A Vital Stat for White Heron Cup

FE3H White Heron Cup
The Charm stat is also a deciding factor as to whether the unit chosen as your house's representative wins the dance competition or not. The Charm stat must be considered in choosing your candidate for the White Heron Cup. For more information about the White Heron Cup, see the link below.

How to Increase Charm

Participate in Tea Time

FE3H Perfect Teatime!
Attending Tea Time and achieving a perfect or great tea time will increase both Byleth and the unit's charm stat by 1. This is incredibly important as Byleth can participate in several tea times, allowing her battalions to hit like a truck later on in the game.

Practice for the White Heron Cup

FE3H Felix Dancer

Helping Felix train because I roped him into this mess.

Having your candidate train for the White Heron Cup will permanently increase the Charm stat of that unit by 5. Make sure to do this when available, as this is the only time you will get the chance.

Equip Charm Boosting Accessories

FE3H Charm Accessory
Accessories like the Brooch you receive on your birthday will increase your charm stat by 2. Not the best addition to your stat, but it's an increase nonetheless.

Use Black Pearls

Using the item Black Pearl will permanently increase the charm stat of the user by 2.
