This is a list of what classes are the best
, though of course it is very dependent on your army composition. We'll only be ranking Advanced and Master classes, as these are the classes you'd normally be working towards for the end of the game.

Best Classes for Each Character
While we think a lot of master classes are top-tier, the problem is that the requirements of some Master-tier Classes are very jarring when it comes to their usual route. For example, to upgrade a Sniper into a Bow Knight requires an A in Riding and C in Lance, skills which is completely different from what skills you would have been building from the start. Unless you start the game building towards certain master classes, you will not be able to attain them naturally.

The Wyvern Rider is easy to access, and also very strong. Their versatility is strong versus all ground melee units, though they are vulnerable to any ranged units, both magic users and archers.

HP (2) Move (4) Str (1) Dex (3) Spd (1) Lck (1) Def (1) |
Canto Bowfaire Bowrange +2 |
The main problem of the Bow Knight is that you must have an A in riding to be able to acquire it, making it feel somewhat out of the way. Otherwise, it is much worth the hassle if you do get it. With Bow Range +2 and Canto, you could easily harass units, then have your Bow Knight fall back to avoid any reprisal, or have ranged support going everywhere on the map.

HP (1) Mag (2) Dex (1) Res (5) |
White Magic Uses x2 White Magic Heal +10 Terrain Resistance |
The Bishop is the best healer in-game. With the bonus to white magic uses and healing, and the terrain resistance, if your Bishop has Physic you can pretty much make them reach most units wherever they are in the map, provided they're not at the complete other edge of the map. These units are essential to any party in the later game.

Bow | A |
Move (1) Str (1) Dex (5) Lck (3) |
Bowfaire Bowrange +1 |
The Sniper is incredibly useful, because of its extended range. It has the range of an Archer's Curved Shot, and the damage is decently high, with a +5 Dex bonus as compared to the Archer's +2 bonus. Additionally, Bowfaire adds a lot of damage making Snipers ideal for softening up enemies. It lacks the mobility of the Bow Knight, but if you cannot get the Bow Knight, a Sniper is a must-have.

HP (2) Move (4) Str (4) Dex (1) Spd (4) Def (3) |
Canto Axefaire Avo +10 |
While the Avo +10 and the extra movement bonus is nice, it's not that big a jump from the Wyvern Rider, so getting it as a master class is not required, though the requirements aren't that far away from the path of Wyvern RIder. Once you get an A in Axe and Flying naturally, just tutor and set your Rider's goals to Lance.

The Paladin will be your bread and butter for fast armies. There are a lot of students built to be Cavaliers, and Paladin is a natural progression from it, and having both Lancefaire and Terrain Resistance means they're definitely more useful for charging and defeating units.

Gremory, while difficult to attain because they require an A in both Reason and Faith, is well worth the hassle for offensive capabilities. While not very useful to make offensive healers,
offensive spellcasters will thrive and the plethora of spells available to them.

HP (1) Move (1) Str (2) Dex (1) Spd (4) Def (1) |
Swordfaire Sword Crit +10 |
With Swordfaire, Sword Crit +10, and a bonus of 4 Speed, Swordmasters are decent Advanced classes, especially considering that it only takes one skill to get them this far. Giving them Killer Weapons or Brave weapons gives them a good chance against everything but Armored units, and giving them Armorslayers can circumvent this weakness.

Warlocks are your main offensive spellcasters, and because Gremory's are quite hard to get they are the best alternative. With their Black Tomefaire and 3 Mag, they provide decent damage against other units, especially if the user is gifted in Mag like Lysithea.

Fistfaire Axefaire Crit +20 |
With Fistfaire, Axefaire, and Crit +20, this class is strong enough even without the +5 to Strength. With the Strength bonus, this class is formidable and great for heavy hitters. It's recommended for Warriors, or Grapplers who need access to a Range 2 attack.

The Falcon Knight is a direct improvement over the Pegasus Knight, and it can be used to easily dispatch magic users behind enemy lines then retreat back to friendly lines with Canto.

Grapplers, with Fistfaire and the ability to up to strike four times are soldiers that can, with the right stats, one-shot enemies. Also, with Unarmed Combat allowing them to attack without a weapon, it makes them economical versus weaker enemies by not spending weapon duration.

Warriors are strong frontline units with an Axe that can deal quite a lot of damage, but they're better of being Wyvern Riders. If not for that, Warriors hold their own pretty well.

While it's useful to have mobile mages, the fact that it requires an A in and C in lance, which is drastically different from the natural progression, Dark Knight doesn't seem worth it when compared to regular warlocks.

Good for mobile healers. While it isn't advisable for those who have Physic or Fortify, this is good for those who only have Heal. It seems this class is more built for offensive Faith users, though you'd be better of with a Gremory or a Reason user for offensive magic. Also pretty low in the ranking only because it requires an A in riding, drastically different from what you'd normally be building, but it doesn't offer that much to be worth it.

Without critical and with Swordmaster's speed bonus gone, Mortal Savant tries to be good at two things but ends up only okay at both. You're better off having two units specialized as Swordmaster and Warlock rather than trying to mix them into a Mortal Savant.
