Yeah, as the user below stated I just used the known skip route and optimized every jump as best as I could. Didn’t feel perfect when I did it tho so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if a faster time comes along soon
oh cool thanks, i didnt know the snes shell skip worked in remake too, though i should've thought to try it lol
there's a shell skip shown on the paratroopa page for the original mario rpg: https://game8.co/games/Super-Mario-RPG-Remake/archives/419617 I tried it, and it still works in the remake. The other user must have really optimized it though
Oops, site didn't update for me until after posting, so just the Goomba Thump record for me
Updated Midas River record: 100 Goomba Thump Record: 47 Mine-Car Race Record: 02:06:35 Beetle Mania High Score: 57218656 (though like Polarthief mentioned, you can just keep going until you get bored. I tried to see if I could break the 100m mark but got bored there)
are there any troopa shell skips involved? curious how you got a time this fast lol

AFAIK, no. I'm also potentially missing medals on Knife Guy's Ball Game and Memory Game. I'm so bored of doing Memory and I'm past 25 so idk how much further I have to go there. Knife Guy I just stopped at 14. There is a medal for Look the Other Way at 100 when you get the Star Egg.

PS: If you want to get a high score on Beetle Mania, you need to just wait in the corner for a lot of shells to appear, then fire one shot and let them combo off each other. This is also how you get hearts to appear which reduces the amount of buttons you need to press to recover, and is essential for continuing. Also I could have easily gone past 10m, I just got bored after seeing it could hit 8 digits. Give it a try yourself, mashing all 4 buttons to recover next time!
It was done with a standard Pro Controller. The trick is you can mash all 4 of the face buttons instead of just A.
