The contents of the treasure chests in the secret room will vary depending on your previous interactions with a man in Rose Town trying to get into his house. The rewards will be better if you either do not steal the man's treasures, or wait to do so until after getting the treasures at the end of the Forest Maze secret path.
Best Route: Forest Maze Treasures → Steal the Treasures → Confess to Stealing
The best rewards you can get from the Toad in Rose Town and the Forest Maze Secret Path combined are 5 Flowers, 2 Frog Coins, and a Mushroom chest, if you took the treasure from the Forest Maze first, opened the chests inside the house, and confessed to taking the treasures to the Toad after.

Forest Maze Walkthrough and Directions
Follow the directions below to learn how to get through the Forest Maze, including the section where you follow Geno through the forest. Even if you return to the area and Geno is no longer there to follow, you can use the directions below to get through the Forest Maze.
Step-by-Step Walkthrough
| ① | Right at the start, you can grab a Hidden Chest containing a Croaka Cola. After grabbing it, follow the path ahead and continue into the next area. |
