・Brutes are beasts with superhuman power. Be careful of their aggressive attacks that span wide areas. ・When a Brute is enraged, it overloads its machine core. Overloaded cores turn bright yellow and cause explosions. ・Brutes' explosive attacks come in a variety of forms, including continuous explosions, shockwaves, and ground blasts. Keep your distance and act fast. |

Brute can be found and fought in Eidos 7. Try to find their weaknesses before attacking!
Brute Second Encounter
You will be encountering Brute again the second time if you choose to do the Life of the Scavenger Sidequest. This boss is much stronger and will have a new moveset once you get its HP down to 60%

You Don't Have to Defeat It
Since Brute is part of the tutorial, and serves as the tutorial boss, the story will progress even if you do not defeat it.
This is a good time though to practice battling and knowing the basics of combat.
You Will Have to Defeat Brute Upon Second Encounter
You will be encountering Brute again if you choose to do the Life of the Scavengers side quest. In this quest, you will have to defeat Brute.

Avoid Enemy Heavy Attacks
Enemy heavy attacks are easily avoidable as the enemy will emit a yellow light when doing so. But be aware however that just because it's easy to spot, doesn't mean it's easy to avoid.
Time your parries and dodges when the enemy starts glowing. Master this, and you will have no sweat during the whole battle.

Most enemy attacks can easily be parried. You can do this by timing your parries on the enemy attacks, especially the heavy ones. After doing so, you can perform a Retribution to deal massive damage.
Attack While Brute is Fighting Tachy
While the Brute is busy fighting Tachy, this is the perfect time for you to land your attacks, preferably at the back of the enemy but make sure to stay away after landing just enough hits as Brute will be focusing its attention to you if you don't stop.
