How to Fix Mining Pit Not Working

Build Mining Pit Directly on Top of Deposits

Manor Lords - Build Pit on Top of Deposit

Unlike Hunting Camps and Forager's Huts that should only be placed near their respective resources, Mining Camps must be built on top of Deposits to start gathering Iron Ore or Clay.

A “No Deposit in Range” alert is shown when trying to build a Mining Pit not directly above a Deposit, so make sure your Mining Camp is built correctly.

Build a Storage Nearby

Another cause as to why Mining Pits are not working could be because its generic storage is full. Workers stop working once the building's storage is full, so make sure that the resource is being transported correctly.

You can also ensure that production does not stop by building a storage nearby, which should cut down the travel time of Oxen when moving the resources to storage.

The resources and materials listed above are needed to construct the Mining Pit. Make sure you have enough of them when building.

How to Upgrade the Mining Pit

The direct upgrade of the Mining Pit is its conversion into a Deep Mine, which provides unlimited resource based on what deposit the mine is used on.

Do note that this requires a Rich Deposit to work, so make sure to identify the rich resource (noted by a crown) in the map and make sure to take it.
