First- This douche likes doing tons of DOT dmg via wide AOEs, offsetting this is actually pretty easy with spirit syphon and algid aura while deadly dodging (link enmySkl-HPabsorb, DD-HPabsorb) and if u have regen up your going to be restoring HP not losing. Alongside most of its other attacks as they're magical Last but not least- Make the most of counters, specifically Counterstance. Victorious
umbral strike is closest non aoe, on hard mode he summons Ifrit as well.....

U can get Bahamut in easy-> Use it in hard Mode...... Dont see ur problem.

A quick way to stagger Bahamut is when he does the countdown. For example when it says Five, Four, etc, have Aerith use Firaga, Barret use Focused Shot and Cloud using Focused Strike. This is one of the quickest way I found to increase the stagger. I was able to stagger him before the crazy mega f ing flare.

Just remember that when megaflare starts, dont even bother healing or anything. Just go full out attack on him. You die eitherway.
This is like legit, the easiest boss on ultimecias castle so maybe u need practice?

I found it is possible and easy to dodge umbral strikes with Tifa using parry materia
It appears that manawall greatly reduces the effects of umbral attacks.
Umbral Strike is avoidable. I personally have dodges both on them several times with different characters. One of them being Barret. BARRET dodged them. It's about timing and you have to have a little distance because it's fast.
This battle really forces you to go full offensive from start to finish. Letting him use mega flare is pretty much defeat. Rather than relying on revival for that move, better just go ham on him and kill him quickly.
Is using refocus when bahamut starts the countdown better to launch multiple moves or should I just use standard offensive limits?
