When you use a Lucky Jewel, you'll gain a Lucky Flower. This allows you to play the Where's Yoshi? minigame after the battle that lets you double your coins or experience if you guess the right egg that contains Yoshi.
Lucky Jewel can be purchased from the Treasure Hunting Toad in Moleville for 100 coins.
